"See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all."
1 Thessalonians 5:15
2 - Reflect
There are people who want to constantly prioritize their needs over those of others. When they get together with friends, they strategically think about what is most comfortable or easy for them, what advantage they can get from meeting up. There are also those who try to get the biggest slice at work, the easiest activities, or how to keep all the credit for something they did alongside their peers. In general, these people have been rooted in a selfish behavior for a long time, and have stepped away from the right and Christian path.
Considering the emotions and needs of others is very important in order to be able to live in communion with our brothers and sisters. Only thinking about what suits us or what we can get in return, will put us in a position where we won't pay any attention to what surrounds us. Closing ourselves off to our own well-being will keep us from trying to help others or being supportive. Therefore, we will only be building a wall between our neighbors, and between what is truly important. God will be the one who reminds us of the importance of respecting our brethren, even when we believe that they do not need us or may have an individualistic attitude.
