1 - READ THE WORD
“Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
2 - Reflect
Today it is normal for people to walk down the street only thinking about what they only deem important for themselves. Some are wearing headphones listening to music that does not allow them to question anything, others are lost in their cellphone screens so much so that they could cause accidents. These are people who prefer to be in virtual worlds rather than having deep conversations with others. Sometimes it is difficult to connect with others but shows an image that has little to do with who they truly are. An era of social networks is exposed in which they only share the "beautiful moments" of what one experiences daily and everything that can cause sadness is hidden.
This lack of sincerity has taken to the streets and as Christians we must act in a way that we will not continue living in like this. We must remain with a more comprehensive view of the streets: we must see those whom we can offer help to, maybe with a little food, or with a word of encouragement. Simple actions such as joining an elderly person when crossing the street, opening a heavy door for someone who has no strength. Gestures of solidarity that will bring us to a closer contact with what is really happening around us.
